התיאוריה הפמיניסטית נשענת על כמה יסודות שקריים, כמה מאלו הם: תיאוריית הפטריארכיה, תיאוריית תרבות האונס ותיאוריית פערי השכר. אם נשאל פמיניסט: "מהי תרבות האונס ואיפה היא קיימת?" התשובה שנקבל תהיה לרוב "יחס משפיל, מזלזל ומחפיץ כלפי נשים מופיעה במגזינים, עיתונים, טלוויזיה, סרטים ובתקשורת".
